Description
The DreamStation Auto BiPAP utilizes advanced algorithms to monitor the user’s breathing patterns continuously throughout the night. It adjusts the IPAP and EPAP dynamically, based on real-time data. This ensures that the airway remains open, preventing episodes of apnea (cessation of breathing) and hypopnea (shallow breathing). The automatic adjustment capability allows the device to provide the minimum necessary pressure, enhancing user comfort and improving sleep quality.
The machine is equipped with sensors and software capable of detecting a variety of respiratory events such as:
- Obstructive Apneas: Blockages in the upper airway.
- Central Apneas: When the brain fails to send the correct signals to the muscles that control breathing.
- Hypopneas: Partial blockages causing shallow breathing.
- Flow Limitations: Decreased airflow without complete blockage.
- Snoring: Vibrations of the tissues in the throat.
